Buy the S9816 Vintage Blouse and Skirt sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Vintage 1970'S blouse and skirts in sizes S-M-L-XL. The blouse V. 1 & 2 softly gathered to yoke has square neckline and long, set-in sleeves, gathered with elastic casings forming self ruffles. Blouse has narrow shoulder look. The shoulder length of the pattern is shorter and the head of the sleeve is higher. Skirt V. 1 & 2 have side zipper and waistband. V. 1 with three tiers is trimmed with embroidered braid or ribbon. V. 2 with ruffle at lower edge has ribbon tie belt. Authentic Vintage Reproduction includes additional size options and cutting layouts.

Suggested fabrics: Canvas, broadcloth, challis, cotton sateen, crepe, double knit, homespun, leno, lightweight wool, linen, muslin, poplin, surah, wool flannel. Blouse also in batiste, dotted swiss, eyelet, printed voile. Skirt view 2 also in even lengthwise striped fabric. Interfacing: Lightweight fusible.

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way design fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: A (S-M-L-XL), which is approx. UK sizes A (6/8 – 18). based on our . Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. View 1, View 2: Seam binding or stretch lace. Blouse view 1,2: One pkg. of 1/2" (1.3cm) single fold bias tape, 7/8 yd. (0.7m) of 3/8" 1cm) elastic. Skirt view 1,2: One 7" (18cm) zipper, hook and eyes. Also for skirt view 1: 5 1/2 yds. (5.2m) of 1 3/4" (4.5cm) embroidered braid or ribbon trim. Also for Skirt view 2: 2 yds. (1.9m) of 2 1/2" (6.3cm) ribbon trim for tie belt.
